Hindi Font Converter

SahayakTools converts Hindi Devanagari text between legacy typing fonts and Unicode. Pick the exact direction you need: a legacy font into Unicode (Mangal), Unicode back into a legacy font, or one legacy font straight into another. Every route opens the same document studio - paste your text, convert, review the warnings, then copy or export the editable result.

Supported encodings: Kruti Dev, Unicode (Mangal), DevLys, Chanakya, Shree Lipi, AMS.

Fonts and encodings this converter covers

Every conversion route below is built on one of these registered font families. The notes record exactly which variant the mapping is verified against.

Kruti Dev

Also written as KrutiDev, Kruti Dev 010, Kruti-Dev

Only the standard Kruti Dev 010-style mapping is claimed as verified by current user-facing regression vectors.

Verified against: Kruti Dev 010

Unicode (Mangal)

Also written as Unicode, Mangal

Unicode is the character encoding. Mangal is treated as a display-font/search alias, not a separate mapping.

Verified against: Unicode Devanagari

DevLys

Also written as Devlys, DevLys 010

Version labels are not assumed interchangeable without mapping evidence.

Verified against: DevLys 010 reference mapping

Chanakya

Also written as Chanakya

Walkman-Chanakya-905/901 is a distinct legacy mapping and is not treated as an alias of this engine. Current SahayakTools Chanakya conversion follows the repository's separate Chanakya reference mapping.

Verified against: Repository Chanakya reference mapping

Shree Lipi

Also written as ShreeLipi, Shree Lipi, Shree714

The current decoder is pinned to the Shree714 primary mapping. Real Word rendering and TTF metadata proved that the locally installed Modular InfoTech SHREE-DEV-0714 Version 1.10 is a different encoding despite its similar name, so it is not a runtime alias. Shree target output remains fail-closed until an exact matching font is independently verified. The adjacent upstream ShreeLipi715, Shree-Lipi Dev Ratna Universal and Shree Dev 0702 converters also use different mappings.

Verified against: Shree714 primary reference mapping, SHREE-DEV-0714 Version 1.10 (unsupported different encoding)

AMS

Also written as AMS-TTY, AMS Calligraphy

Current verified corpus covers the repository AMS encoding used by AMS-TTY/Calligraphy references; unrelated AMS variants are not implied.

Verified against: AMS-TTY reference mapping, AMS Calligraphy shared encoding
