Why SahayakTools exists
Legacy Hindi font workflows still create compatibility problems when text needs to move into Unicode-based documents, websites, search and modern devices. SahayakTools exists to make that transition clearer while keeping the exact source mapping and its limitations visible.
What SahayakTools builds
SahayakTools focuses on deterministic legacy-font conversion rather than a generic collection of unrelated tools. Current published pages cover registered directions involving Kruti Dev, DevLys, Chanakya, Shree714 and supported AMS reference encodings, with exact-mapping safeguards where a family name alone is not enough. The site also provides font detection, a Kruti Dev keyboard reference and public verification documentation.
How the work is verified
Search demand does not create product capability. SahayakTools publishes a conversion direction only when the corresponding mapping and processing path are registered and covered by regression evidence. The current converters use deterministic mappings rather than generative AI conversion, document known limitations and fail closed where an exact mapping or safe export cannot be verified.
The Conversion Methodology explains these safeguards in plain English. The Test Scope & Benchmark shows what the release checks are designed to prove—and what they do not claim.
Privacy by design
For the current published text converters, pasted text is processed locally in the browser rather than sent to a SahayakTools conversion server. No account is required. Optional conversion history is stored locally only when enabled. The Privacy Policy explains browser storage, analytics, infrastructure and email contact separately.
Limitations and responsible use
Legacy-font conversion can contain edge cases involving font variants, punctuation, conjuncts, mixed-language text or non-standard mappings. Automated checks reduce common errors but do not make any converter infallible. Important official, legal, archival or print-ready output should be reviewed against the correctly rendered source before it is filed, published or printed.
Independent project
SahayakTools is independently operated. It is not a government portal and does not imply affiliation with Microsoft, Google, Cloudflare, font vendors or government bodies. The Terms of Use describe the service boundaries and user responsibilities.
